Last week of the 2 nd phase of teaching practice

  Lesson template no 28: On Monday, I taught another important concept, the area of a quadrilateral. I asked some questions to the students in order to recall their previous knowledge in the introduction phase. I used activity cards and ppt containing formula as the teaching learning resources. By doing The blackboard works, I could enhance the effectiveness of the class. The lesson template was effective for the classroom environment. I used inductive and analytic method as the methods of teaching. I used a mixture of english and malayalam languages for effective communication in the classroom. I prepared well for the instruction process so that I had no doubt in the subject matter. At the end of the class, I asked some review questions at the end of the class. 



Lesson template no 29:

On Tuesday, I taught some problems related to the topic area of quadrilaterals. For this, I used ppt containing questions , blackboard as the teaching learning resources. I used a mixture of english and malayalam languages for effective communication in the classroom. I used analytic-synthetic methods as the methods of teaching. I always tried to keep a good interaction with the students. I gave a question in the same pattern of application and presentation as home assignment. I asked some review questions at the end of the class related to the topic taught in the class. 

Lesson template no 30:

I used a mixture of english and malayalam languages for effective communication in the classroom. I used analytic-synthetic methods as the methods of teaching. I always tried to keep a good interaction with the students. I gave a question in the same pattern of application and presentation as home assignment. I asked some review questions at the end of the class related to the topic taught in the class. 

Lesson template no:31

On Wednesday,My innovative lesson template was taught on Wednesday. I prepared my lesson template using circle learning. I prepared the lesson template for summarizing the chapter area of quadrilaterals. For this I used ppt containing formula and models of parallelogram, rhombus and trapezium. I asked the students to form 2 circles each contains 4 students. One group forms the inner circle and another group forms the outer circle. Then I posed a question that to discuss about parallelogram after presenting the model of a parallelogram. I gave some time to the students to think about parallelogram and then to discuss with their pairs. Then I asked to the students in the outer circle to move one step to the left. Again I posed a question after showing the model. I continued this process until the same students as first come face to face. The students were very active during the teaching learning resources. I gave proper instructions to the students during the activity

  In this week, I started the chapter 'Ratio'. Sheeja teacher visited my class on 28/11/2024 for the first class observation during this phase. In this week, I completed 8 lesson templates from the chapter. In this week, I got many classes in 8E by substitutions by which I was able to complete the lesson templates with ease along with maintaining a rapport with the students.  In lesson template no:2, I prepared a lesson to introduce the principle of ratio of two quantities. I used activity cards and PPT as the teaching aids. For the activity, I used a chart as well. I put the generalized idea on the ppt. I also prepared an application question to use this principle. 8 th week reflection

  In this week, I took 9  lessons in total. Also, on Monday, I had my 2nd optional observation class by Sheeja teacher. There was a state-wide campaign program on drug abuse hosted by Cottonhill school on October 2nd, as part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. The program was arranged by the Education Department, Govt. of Kerala, in which Hon'ble Education minister Shri. V. Shivankutty inaugurated the debate stage.  I studied some sections on the chapter identities in class 8. Inductive method is used as the method of teaching. The interaction between teacher and student was good. I can manage the class. My blackboard work was near and legible. For some of the class I used activity card, and used chart for presentation. I give proper reinforcement to the students. The students give proper response to my question. I think the overall performance was good in this week.
