3 rd week reflection
In this week, I completed 5 more lesson templates. As the exams are nearby, the teachers advised to complete the portions quickly in order to start the revisions. So I completed half of the chapter, 'Ratio' which was for examinations in 8F. In this week, I did lunch duty for two days and evening line duty everyday. 03/12/2024 was declared a restricted holiday for the offices and educational institutions under Trivandrum corporation because of the Bemapalli procession. So it was a holiday for the school. On 05/12/2024, I had class observation by Vanaja teache Also, our teaching practice is paused for some period and will be resumed after the half- yearly examinations followed by the Christmas vacations. In lesson template no: 8, I started the problems from textbook from the section 'Changing Relations'. I used PPT as the teaching aid to present the problems. I used some models too to demonstrate certain problems with ease. I prepared a placard to show the question also...
2 nd week reflection - phase 2
In this week, I started the chapter 'Ratio'. Sheeja teacher visited my class on 28/11/2024 for the first class observation during this phase. In this week, I completed 8 lesson templates from the chapter. In this week, I got many classes in 8E by substitutions by which I was able to complete the lesson templates with ease along with maintaining a rapport with the students. In lesson template no:2, I prepared a lesson to introduce the principle of ratio of two quantities. I used activity cards and PPT as the teaching aids. For the activity, I used a chart as well. I put the generalized idea on the ppt. I also prepared an application question to use this principle. There were distractions in the class and I was trying to improve my class management. In lesson template No: 3, for doing more problems for practicing the idea of ratio of two quantities, I prepared a lesson template on 'Inquiry Training Model'.
