7 th week reflection

 


I had class observations by teachers from our college this week. I started a new chapter, 'Identities' in 8th standard this week. I used teaching aids like activity cards, charts and ppt presentaions for the lessons.


Also, I taught the chapter 'Similar triangles ' in the 9th standard. Apart from taking classes, I was assigned other school duties in some days too. In the 25th day, I taught about the properties of calendar math. For this, I used calendar, activity cards and PPT for generalization as the teaching-learning resources. I used inductive, analytic and synthetic method as methods of teaching. 


In the 26th day, I taught about a property of multiplication table. For this, I used chart to present the multiplication table, PPT for generalization and activity cards. I used inductive and analytic methods as methods of teaching. I considered everyone's response during the instruction process. 


In the 27th day, I taught some problems related to square  of sums. Students were very active during this class. They were attentive to solve the problems.

ces.

  In this week, I started the chapter 'Ratio'. Sheeja teacher visited my class on 28/11/2024 for the first class observation during this phase. In this week, I completed 8 lesson templates from the chapter. In this week, I got many classes in 8E by substitutions by which I was able to complete the lesson templates with ease along with maintaining a rapport with the students.  In lesson template no:2, I prepared a lesson to introduce the principle of ratio of two quantities. I used activity cards and PPT as the teaching aids. For the activity, I used a chart as well. I put the generalized idea on the ppt. I also prepared an application question to use this principle. 8 th week reflection

  In this week, I took 9  lessons in total. Also, on Monday, I had my 2nd optional observation class by Sheeja teacher. There was a state-wide campaign program on drug abuse hosted by Cottonhill school on October 2nd, as part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. The program was arranged by the Education Department, Govt. of Kerala, in which Hon'ble Education minister Shri. V. Shivankutty inaugurated the debate stage.  I studied some sections on the chapter identities in class 8. Inductive method is used as the method of teaching. The interaction between teacher and student was good. I can manage the class. My blackboard work was near and legible. For some of the class I used activity card, and used chart for presentation. I give proper reinforcement to the students. The students give proper response to my question. I think the overall performance was good in this week.
